New Bomb Turks

For sure a nod to the turks debut LP “Destroy Oh Boy” was on my mind when asked to do this. I had purchased the LP when it came out and caught the band on what I think was their first tour. The band was fast, heavy and catchy. Eric was running around the crowd taking people’s hats and trying them on before tossing them back, it was great! That’s also when I was starting my career as an artist. Eric and I have been friends throughout the years after meeting him at these first gigs, keeping in touch from time to time so it was really cool when he asked if I wanted to do art for them. I was like damn, I really haven’t done art for them and I would really love to do this!

With the Destroy Oh Boy LP cover art in mind, I also wanted to do another nod to the song “Jeers of a Clown” that I think is a totally awesome song and you should totally go listen to it after purchasing this shirt you know you can’t live without. So yeah, that’s it, a pop trash NBT Jack in the Box (not actually a clown but close enough for me) with everything you could expect up front at one of their live shows, that you should totally also check out after proudly strutting around town in your awesome new NBT shirt, I know I will 😉 -Dirty Donny Gillies, Yucca Valley California
