Southern Culture On The Skids

In the early 90s my buddy (Evil) Jay and I did a radio show out of a single wide trailer in Rocky Mount, NC. Southern Culture On The Skids got a lot of play on that show as they were “local” (Chapel Hill is around 50 miles from Rocky Mount). If you’re reading this, you’re likely already familiar with SCOTS. They’re been making uniquely provocative music since 1984.

I became aquatinted with artist/ rocker Ron Liberti in the early 90s when I saw his band PIPE open for Bad Brains in Greenville, NC. Ron is also from the Chapel Hill area and has been doing show posters for bands as long as I’ve been going to shows.

This design is from a Ron Liberti/ SCOTS show poster. I saw it online and instantly asked Ron if the band would be into putting on some shirts. They were, so here you have it. It’s awesome, It’s limited to 300 prints, and It’s only available from us! -Charles Cardello/ Bifocal Media
