Evil Jay from Tokyo here… gotta chime in with excitement for this new shirt for one of my favorite bands. Yes, The Muffs shirt is real and is now available. This one started off from an interesting angle. Around 2020 I posted a drawing based on a photo of the great Kim Shattuck. The husband of the original photographer (shout out to Cat Rose) mentioned how much he liked it and it was such a cool connection. Naturally, this got me excited and curious to try out a few ideas for The Muffs and we’re super honored to pull back the curtain on this new limited shirt design.
Also special mention to my friend Kumiko, another Muffs fan who covers a few of Kim’s songs with her band The Floppy-Pinkies here in Japan. I’m here in Outer Space…! -Evil Jay, Tokyo
