Fishbone

In 1991 I got a CD player and the very first CD I wanted was Fishbone’s “Truth and Soul”. In my mind, it is a perfect album from start to finish. Powerful and playful lyrics, all set to the most manic dance music imaginable. It is a very hard album to beat. Now, of course, seeing the band in the late 80’s early 90’s was a whole ‘nother level of intensity. Absolutely no one could touch them as a live entity. No one. I saw them dozens of times back then as it seemed they were constantly touring, and one of the things Angelo would do was this hand gesture featured in the shirt design. I can clearly picture him throwing the sign chanting “Fish…..BONE!!!!!!”. The image is burned in my brain. You cannot imagine how thrilled I am to share my love of FISHBONE with yet another Bifocal collaboration. –Chris Shary
