Naked Raygun

It used to be pretty easy to know who the coolest kids in the scene were in the late 80’s early 90’s, they were the kids who had some wild colorway Naked Raygun shirt. There seemed to be a lot of variants and all were very cool and very classy. I simply wasn’t cool enough to have one then because I don’t believe Naked Raygun came through Colorado. I wrote a lot of bands back then asking about if they had shirts available to mail order but I also would use Toxic Shock Records, Systematic, or Zed Records to order my stuff from. However, I simply couldn’t find that elusive Naked Raygun shirt. With the dawn of the internet, I’ve since solved that problem, and while i have a few Naked Raygun shirts these days, I really wanted to try giving the classic logo shirt my stamp. What could I come up with that wouldn’t stray too far from the classic look but make it uniquely my own design? Well here it is, the shattered Naked Raygun! I’ve been obsessively listening to Naked Raygun these past 2 weeks of January due to the reissues Touch and Go put out and I have to say I’ve fallen in love with them all over again. I just had to do something and I’m so glad they approved of the work. It’s a long way from the late 80’s early 90’s but one thing still holds true, the coolest kids STILL wear Naked Raygun shirts.
