Cows

Cows were hugely integral to the heart and soul of AmRep. They were workhorses in the amount of releases and touring they did, the support they gave to new bands and shaping the overall aesthetic and internal culture. That’s the reason I’ve always treated Cows projects a bit more ‘precious’ for lack of better term. Aw whom I kidding, Cows were precious AF right?

We’ve been talking about reissuing Peacetika for a few years but hadn’t solved how to approach it as no one involved wanted to revisit the original cover as is. That they were masters of marrying humor with menace puts them in rarified strata. I wanted the right idea that expanded on the original tie dye art, joke, concept and era.
