TOMBS

I first became familiar with Tombs through a split released with Planks in 2008. Michael Hill’s work was no stranger to me, I’ve admired his earlier work in bands like Otis, Anodyne, and Versoma for quite some time. When the full length Winter Hours was released in the frigid early months of 2009, I was instantly enthralled with it. I’m sure the suffocating grey skies of New York in February only enhanced my fascination with Winter Hours; it didn’t leave my ears for months. Their subsequent records have expanded upon that, delving further into cosmic infinity and mysteries around our own mortality. Tombs has continually painted a vast ethereal blackened landscape of sound throughout their discography, and I did my best to reflect that in this shirt design. -Kristin DeBockler
