Kevin Seconds

Kevin Seconds is the real deal. He has been making music consistently and tourING endlessly since 1980. Kevin is probably best known for his work with posi-core giants 7SECONDS, but in the past 20 years he has also forged quite name for himself recording solo, and often as lo-fi as you can possibly imagine, like in a van with an acoustic guitar and a phone (yeah and then he releases these!). Kevin is currently in the midst of recording 400 songs within 2015 (I mean can you imagine?). I fell for 7SECONDS hard in 1985 and have seen them every possible opportunity since then. Kevin makes you believe life can indeed be a better place through music and positive work. It is this line of thinking that directly lead me to pursue being a teacher in the first place. I could not have been more honored to have been asked to do backing vocals on 7SECONDS most recent album “Leave A Light On”. Afterall I have been singing along with him for 30 years, I may as well be on record right? Kevin is a dear friend and one of my favorite performers either solo or with the 7SECONDS boys. Pictured here in his classic “Crew” look, but with a decidedly different Sharpie approach.
