7 Seconds

In the year 1983 I was punk rock pen pals with a lot of people. One of them was Kevin Seconds, singer of 7 Seconds. I was really into the bands first two seven inches and assorted compilation tracks. At some point I drew a crude version of this idea and sent it to him. A few months later their BYO records debut album came out and the image was on the lyric sheet (which was a big thrill). Me and my friends listened to that record a lot during that summer of 1984. Anyways, when people re-boot or re-draw stuff they had done when they were younger NOW, it usually works out pretty good. At least in my case it does…cause I can draw a lot better now, and thank god ha ha. This was a lot of fun to do, and hopefully people will dig it. We do.
