Having grown up with an Italian father estranged from his heavily “connected” family, I’ve always romanticized the notion of growing up in New York emersed in that world. I’ve obsessed over any movies or tv shows relative to that culture since my youth. It’s no surprise that I’m a huge fan of Michael Imperioli, as he’s played a key role in many of those productions (actor, writer, director). What WAS a huge surprise was discovering that Michael was a fan of my little company (Bifocal Media).

At some point a photos of Michael wearing shirts that we produced started ending up on the web and folks were tagging us. I reached out to him via social media and he was quick to respond. Those conversations resulted in us working with Michael’s band ZOPA on a shirt (also designed by Evil Jay). One thing lead to another and those things lead to this design.
