Channel 3

Back in high school Channel 3’s “After the Lights Go Out” was one of the first punk albums I was introduced to. I played the hell out of that record, and could really image “I Didn’t Know” being some alternate universe hit tune. I had lyrics to many of their songs scrawled on my note books throughout high school, and was excited for each album that came, YES even “Last Time I Drank”. What kept me coming back to them time and time again was how they seemed to perfectly understand what it meant to be alive in the suburbs. They spoke to the common man and did it with a very accessible poetry that seemed cooler than anything I had ever read. They just really had something special, and that something was the friendship of Kimm Gardener, and Mike Magrann. That friendship and love of ass kicking music lead them to wake up the sleepy community of Cerritos with their guitars back in 1980. I am so happy to finally get to do a shirt with some of my favorite groups of people to be in a band together. Party on with Channel 3! -Chris Shary
