It’s hard to know where to begin in explaining an opportunity like this. Melbourne, Australia’s The Birthday Party are probably in my top five bands of ALL TIME. I don’t think I have gone a week since 1986 (when I discovered them, a few years after they disbanded) without listening to them. They are THAT important. A lot of others have obviously thought so too over the years. I don’t think I will waste any time explaining them to you. If you are here reading this you already know. I would like to especially thank the bands guitarist/sometimes drummer Mick Harvey for being sufficiently amused at my drawings of the band to sort of wave me through on the idea of it. That is very nice of him, and we are pretty thrilled.

So here it is, with the theme being the quintet version of the Birthday Party, and the title of the shirt no doubt inspired by the band moving to England in 1980 and being horrified at most of the bands they saw there. This resulted in some humorous dealings with the press when they began to get popular over there (while blowing most of the competition off of the stage). Look it up! We hope you enjoy this shirt. Thanks. -Brian Walsby
