Alexis Price

I’ve been working with Charles from Bifocal Media for several years now, creating work for awesome bands like Le Butcherettes and Sarah Shook and the Disarmers. I’m so stoked to team up with him to put out some of my personal work on this new project!

I painted “A Week Behind The Sun” in 2018, while living in Brooklyn in between studios and working out of my tiny apartment.  During this time I was playing with the idea of altered realities, perceptions, and self fulfilling prophecies.  This piece is a nod to living life through the veil of anxiety.  It’s difficult to see clearly, floating somewhere between darkness and brilliance but never quite seeing things for what they truly are.  I always saw it as living life on a slightly different plane from everyone else, almost as if you’re existing a week behind the sun.  -Alexis Price
