Big Boys

Tim emailed and asked if I’d be down to collab on a flyer for the Big Boys documentary premiere, and my brain screamed, “YES!” before I’d even finished reading it. I met Tim at my old art gallery in 2002, and, without his knowledge, he’s been my mentor ever since. His approach to life, focusing on inclusion, collaboration, and participation, has helped steer my ship for the past few decades, and being able to work on this design with him makes me so freaking happy. I have always loved Michael’s art and when they needed a poster for the Big Boys doc coming out, I asked if he wanted to do something with me. I sent him the painting I had done of us sitting in the pool and let him have at it. Super happy with the result! -Tim Kerr/ Big Boys

My first loves in life were music, BMX, skateboarding, and art. These obsessions have endured the tests of time, trauma, adulthood, and family life. They’ve defined who I am and given me a career (or two). Big Boys, Tim Kerr, and Michael Sieben are all folks I’ve followed for many years as they share these traits and use them to produce awe inspiring art on an international stage.
