Product Description
Marginal Man were a Washington DC band that existed from 1982 until the end of the eighties. They had three albums out and were a very important band because they seemed to be the “ground zero” for what had already happened and what was to come. Forming from the ashes of an earlier band (Artificial Peace), Pete, Steve and Mike joined forces with two pals (Kenny and Andre) to form Marginal Man.
Soon their debut Dischord Records release IDENTITY, was released. Listeners heard a wide spread of music. Some punk/ hardcore sounding, some catchy and poppy, some slower moody numbers and so on and so on. To have a little variety in the punk/ hardcore world (at this time) was kind of a new thing, and IDENTITY covered all of the bases very well. It’s my favorite Marginal Man album.
They were an amazing live band and sort of paved the way for what was going to be coming down the highway in a little while. The album is having its fortieth anniversary, so it’s timely to offer this shirt. I thank Charles and the band for allowing this to happen. Hope you dig it. -Brian Walsby
