Rebel Truth

There are bands from the early eighties hc scene that are deservedly famous. There are also a large amount that maybe..aren’t that great but get the props (I will leave who those are to you) Then… there are a scattering of more obscure bands that put out one awesome seven inch and faded away. Rebel Truth are definitely one of those bands. Rebel Truth were from Sacramento California and managed to release one awesome seven inch and had assorted appearances on a few compilation albums and tapes. They were truly a product of the times. More importantly, the trio were really damn good! ‘Intelligent lyrics, well written blazing hardcore songs (for the most part) and one of the best drummers in the genre. They broke up at some point in 1983. Obscure, but loved and definitely known or remembered by either the older folk or fanatical collectors of music from the era; Rebel Truth were a great band.  Rumor has it that there will be a cassette only reissue of the classic seven inch!
