Product Description
The late Reed Mullin, drummer and co founder of the Raleigh, NC band Corrosion Of Conformity, has been gone for five years now.
Reed’s younger sister Shannon recently reached out to Charles at Bifocal Media requesting some art files for Reed’s tomb stone and memorial service. During the course of conversation it was decided that a memorial shirt featuring Reed would be a thoughtful tribute appreciated by his family, friends, and fans.
So, here you have it. ‘Drawn by myself, released by Charles and Bifocal Media, and finally approved by the Mullin family. In a short manner of time, it was created. The profits from the sale of this shirt are being donated to MusiCares; a non-profit supporting musicians in need. They helped Reed when he was sick and they continue to help thousands of artists in times of need.
Reed, at the peak of his powers, which to me would be the mid eighties, was a supportive, gracious and wonderful human being who not only helped out a lot of bands and people, but also was one of the greatest drummers of his generation. Ask people like Dale Crover and Dave Grohl about Animosity era Reed as a drummer, or even a little while later, during the BLIND period of the band.
It’s nice for me to honor the memory of this man, and I would like to thank Shannon and her family as well as Charles for letting this happen. RIP Reed! -Brian Walsby
