76% Uncertain

Let’s step into the time machine and go back to Connecticut in the early eighties. There was a punk scene across the state with a lot of bands. Two of the better ones were Reflex From Pain and C.I.A.; both armed with notable seven inch releases. Both bands sort of disbanded/or reshuffled their lineups and suddenly 76% Uncertain were born. Seen as sort of a supergroup for that community, the band soon released the blistering debut album ESTIMATED MONKEY TIME. This record totally stood out due to good songwriting, the almost Dez Cadenaish melodic snarl of Mike “Bones” Hammond on vocals, and the super tight drumming of the late Bill Knapp, one of the best drummers anywhere.

76% Uncertain put out two more albums, played a lot of shows around the country, and had a pretty lengthy initial run as a band. They never quite (to me at least) got the attention that they really deserved, but what can you say? We have all seen that story thousands of times. So, I thought it would be cool to do a t shirt idea based on my favorite song off the first album, “Blackout”. Bones agreed with me and here we are now with this 76% Uncertain shirt!
