The Boneless Ones

It’s wild to think how much the culture of skateboarding influenced so much of the massive ton of music that I still love and appreciate to this day. In those sweaty sessions, it was always what was on the box that ruled the summer nights…and half of the fun was checking out the tapes that other skaters brought along to the jam. It must’ve been in the pages of Thrasher (or Poweredge) that I first heard about The Boneless Ones; a fierce, yet tuneful act whose hefty musical stylings were spiced up with a touch of that crafty crossover sound that just fit so well with every grind and every jaw-busting faceplant. I was so stoked to recently find out that The Boneless Ones reunited a few years ago and are playing live and recording some new songs! Their 1986 skate rock classic Skate For The Devil still gets regular play on my turntable here in in Tokyo and I’m thrilled to be able to present this shirt featuring my updated take on their signature artwork. -Jay Holmes
