Faction

In my early teens skateboarding and punk rock were everything. I couldn’t get enough of either, but the two always seemed to be separate. Then, there was the Faction. This band melded those two things together so perfectly. They were punks that skateboarded and skateboarders who were punks and they ripped. On and off board the Faction was what skate rock was all about. It was the music you played before you went skating and it was what was in your head while you were skating. Being a broke kid, we would tape Skate and Destroy off the Bones video and make our own Faction stickers with cutouts from Thrasher and some two sided tape. When I was sitting at my desk as a kid, making those cutout stickers with a Thrasher, an Xacto knife, and some two sided tape; I never thought I’d get a chance to do s shirt design for these legends. The Faction is skate rock and it’s truly an honor to be able to do this design for them. -Jer Warren
