Future Islands

Future Islands is a post wave dance band based in Baltimore, Maryland, signed to 4AD. They formed in 2006 in Greenville, North Carolina. Valient Himself is a Venusian artist who encountered these gentlemen in the early 2000s. Having no money to enter the Valient Thor show in town, the boys from Future Islands created “Venusian Money” and asked if VT still accepted that as currency. They said yes, and now Valient Himself has created something for them. “If you’re gonna go, go big. Stick yer head in a fucking lion’s mouth. You’ll be fine.” -Valient Himself
