Old Mother’s Cupboard is never bare.  There is a bone for every dog and then some.  Mother’s Cupboard is filled with bobby pins, happiness, and four-and-twenty blackbirds.  If you click your heels together three times with your eyes closed while saying your grandma’s address out loud, you may just wake up three weeks later in another place entirely.  From there, take three steps backwards and ten to the right and odds are sixty-forty you’ll wind up smack dab in the middle of a 1930s-era apartment block that would remind you of this painting, if only you could remember it. -Chris Mars
