I have a vivid memory of sitting with my mom and brother on the beach in the mid 80s as she read us a Readers Digest article about the dangers of “Santanic” music. Around this time all the daytime talk shows jumped on the “Beware of Satanism” wagon and the “Satanic Panic” of the Reagan era began. Damn… the ‘80s were wild.
