VOID

How many bands from over forty years old have a rabid following and legendary status based on half of a split album and a handful of compilation tracks? It’s not that many, but yeah, Void is one of them; owning a reputation that has far outlasted the relatively short lifespan they had as a band.

When the opportunity to work with these guys on another shirt arose, I thought: “what about the funny drawing on Void’s side of the insert… The one where a guy being tied to a stake, surrounded by empty gas cans is going to be set on fire by the punky looking guy with the rat tail (the true haircut of those who weren’t quite ready to shave their head all of the name of punk)? ”That could be a good idea’ I thought.

I assumed this idea would be easily recognized and I knew that I would definitely wear it; so I did this version and sent it to Chris Stover (Void’s bass player). Chris ran it by their guitar player (Bubba Dupree) who did the original drawing. Bubba was cool with it, so here it is for your purchasing pleasure: my updated take on the Void “pyro rat tail kid”, originally drawn by Bubba Dupree, re drawn my yours truly and now offered again as ANOTHER COOL VOID SHIRT.
