Stalag 13

Stalag 13, one of the quintessential skate rock and Nardcore bands, how can you not love them? I’ve been a fan since like 1986 (I think). I got into them because of the Nardcore comp on Mystic and then quickly scooped up “In Control”. It was a go to for me for many, many years. I was lucky enough to catch them in the early 2000’s when Ron (their original singer) came back from New Zealand (I think) and they played a small handful of shows. I had no idea they would eventually reform to make new music together, which is super exciting on it’s own, but then they came to me to ask if I’d like to do the cover to the album!!! Like that’s even a question! Of course I wanted to, and that’s where this art comes from, the band’s latest album art to “Holding On”.

I proposed to the band to do a shirt to tie in with Bifocal and all parties agreed. It’s things like this that make the art “career” I have seem so worth while. I hope you folks are as excited as I am about the new chapter of Stalag 13 with Ron back in control of the vocal duties. Enjoy! -Chris Shary
